We see where we want to end up in our lives but can’t quite make the leap from where we are to where we want to be. Therapy helps identify how the now unhelpful patterns developed over time and how to best address them.
Therapy also offers us an outlet to express parts of ourselves that remain hidden in our daily lives. The therapy room is a safe place to delve into issues that we may not find easy or comfortable, but have a sense that we need to address.
The therapy relationship is unlike any other. It offers an opportunity to feel heard, free from judgement. It helps to alleviate pain and difficulties coping with life stresses. And most importantly, therapy helps us know ourselves better and love ourselves more fully, which in turn allows us create more loving and fulfilled relationships.
